The popular image of the French in the eyes of foreigners is the Parisian: that elusive, slim, stylish, rather snobby creature that somehow never gets fat. But are the Parisians really representative of French people?

If you’ve spent much time in France, like myself or my guest Oliver Gee, you’ll agree that they’re definitely not.

In fact, Parisians are their own breed, utterly different from the provinciaux, the rather condescending term Parisians use to refer to non-Parisians.

But France functions on a fundamental divide between Paris and the rest of the country, which is often referred to as "la Province" (and not "la Provence" which refers to the South-East of France).

So, Paris = Paris, not Paris = Province (not included: not Paris or province and effing far away = overseas territories and departments aka Tahiti, New Caledonia, Guadeloupe, etc.).

I for one, having spent a lot of time in the South of France know that people are more relaxed, open, able to take their time...and they're not all skinny, either!

There are so many things we could have discussed in this video, from cost of living to way of life, but the resounding message is clear - Paris is NOT France! Paris n'est pas la France!

If you're visiting France you may wonder what not to do while in France, French etiquette and manners - the do's and don'ts of the French culture - in other words, Les faux pas en France!! This video covers the major ones when it comes to conversing with the French so you know how to be polite in France and show that you’ve scrubbed up on your French etiquette 101.

In a nutshell, the goals were to:
- Become fluent in French (always handy when living in France)
- Apply for the French Nationality (Becoming French)
- Becoming debt free by paying off my student loan
- Attract 30 000 Youtube subscribers to my tribe

It's now time to check-in, re-adjust, and move on to the second half of the year! Exciting times to come!

What is the cinq à sept? Is adultery acceptable in France? You may not know it if you're French, but one of the clichés about you is that you're quite likely to cheat on monogamous, romantic partners and that basically every French man has a mistress. So how much of that it is true? Do French people have a different opinion on infidelity or what is means to be unfaithful? Why are the French the nation the most likely to forgive a cheater?

In this video I explore the concept of adultery, walking through some infidelity in France statistics, ranking them on a global scale and then discussing some pertinent cultural attitudes and beliefs in France which may explain where the cliché comes from about their "loose" morals (or not) on this topic.

It just takes a quick search on Google to find people looking for answers to questions such as 'are French monogamous' 'What is the French view on monogamy' 'french view on monogamy' 'Why do french people accept men cheating?' and more.

Let's discuss down below love in the French culture, the French culture in marriage, the French culture in relationships and more. Watch the whole way through and you may be left thinking that perhaps relationships in France are not so different after all..
