Alexander and Jennifer Chester, a New York Jewish couple, named their baby boy born in December 2014 after Israeli Druze officer Zidan Saif who sustained critical injuries on the morning of November 18, 2014 when two Palestinian terrorists attacked a synagogue in Jerusalem's Har Nof neighborhood, killing four Jewish men at prayer. Saif was the first officer at the scene; he was critically injured trying to protect others and later died of his wounds. He left behind a wife and a then-4-month-old daughter. At the Times of Israel Gala on February 15, 2015, the Chesters got the chance to meet with Saif's family and present their little Koby Zidan, now 2 months old.
